Whoops, a little problem… After upgrading to Wordpress 2.1.3, this post was temporarily identified as having an author other than me. This has been edited and fixed.
As the administrator for the FreddyWare Solutions Enterprise Network, I’m responsible for maintaining sites and services, including this site, Geekie.org. I have the pleasure of announcing expansion of the network, meaning primarily the acquisition of new assets, though I am partially dissatisfied because I haven’t been able to blog much about non-FreddyWare posts in recent times.
After obtaining access to extremely attractive prices and becoming an active reseller for domain-related services, I chose to spend a certain amount of FreddyWare’s revenue on expansion. That means, basically, that I have registered the following domains:
The last is the one that I feel most proud about. By offering certain benefits and FreddyWare support, I was able to gain the alliance of Qing Carol Xiong to jointly produce the non-profit organization StudyNucleus. StudyNucleus will shortly be the largest section of the FreddyWare Solutions Enterprise Network, though it is not owned entirely by FWSENET. (Carol is the owner of most of StudyNucleus’ property.)
This is the only place that I will be posting this release until it actually happens: since StudyNucleus’ functions repeat many of FreddyWare@School’s original goals, and since StudyNucleus will be better developed and better sustained, FreddyWare@School will be decommissioned in its current capacity near the end of the 2006-2007 school year to be replaced in function by StudyNucleus and to adapt to different purposes more relevant to FreddyWare’s operations as a network. Once again, I stress that this update will not be publicized on any other site in our network.
The last little bit of information to be disclosed in this post concerns the other domains acquired. FreddyWare.org will be developed into a resource for the network that provides certain free technological solutions. PersonalLog.org will be made into a free blog host that will serve users for the entire network. KingEddie.org will hopefully be converted into a site for King Edward Public School.
In the above, you might notice that FWSENET’s operations are becoming more and more decentralized, though more and more focused on operations in a group as a network. Rather than offering forums for each site or blog hosting for each domain, we have functions that have been sent over to one service - such as e-mail with Geekie.org Apps.
A further bit of information that will be disclosed is that most of FreddyWare’s assets have switched to paid & premium Linux hosting. I am also in the process of gaining access to a WHM reseller account to provide services mentioned for FreddyWare.org.
That’s it for now.
